Bluecrest Hackathon 2026: Where Innovation Meets Competition

The stage is set for one of the most exciting tech events on campus — the Bluecrest Hackathon 2026, a dynamic programme designed to bring together brilliant minds from the IT and Cyber Security departments in a thrilling battle of skill, creativity, and innovation.

Organized by Team Innovation and Development, the SRC Presidential Team hopeful, in partnership with Bluecrest Tech Warriors and the Bluecrest Tech Association, this hackathon is more than just a competition — it’s a movement to inspire collaboration, problem-solving, and real-world tech excellence.

What the Hackathon Is About?

The Bluecrest Hackathon is built to challenge students across multiple domains of technology. Participants will compete in:

  • Web Development – Building responsive, functional, and creative web solutions
  • Python Game Development – Designing engaging and interactive digital experiences
  • Cyber Security (Hacking Challenges) – Solving real-world security problems and ethical hacking tasks

This event creates a platform where students can showcase their technical abilities, think critically under pressure, and gain hands-on experience beyond the classroom.

Cyber Security Competition Format:

One of the highlights of the hackathon is the Cyber Security category, structured into two intense stages:

Stage One: Head-to-Head Battles:

  • Six contestants will be selected
  • Participants will be paired into three groups (2 contestants per match)
  • Each pair will be given a specific hacking or security challenge
  • The three winners from these matches will advance to the next stage

Stage Two: The Final Showdown:

  • The three finalists will compete in a more advanced and challenging task
  • From this round, the 1st and 2nd place winners will be determined

This format ensures fairness, excitement, and a true test of both speed and skill.

Awards and Recognition:

To celebrate excellence and encourage participation:

  • Winners will receive special awards and recognition
  • All participants will be issued Certificates of Participation

This ensures that every contestant walks away with value, experience, and recognition.
